AARP’s Wish of a Lifetime commissioned me to take photos of Wanda Birdsong. She grew up on a farm in Oklahoma and has always wanted to ride a horse. AARP gave her that wish, Kerrville’s Big Horse Carriage Company was able to provide her a fantastic ride around town. Once the ride was over, the employees of Brookdale living gave her presents and a dinner to finish off her fun-filled day.
I took some photographs for Duke University’s Faith and Leadership online publication. The story is on Sarah Woolsey who owns The Impact Guild and Aaron Villarreal who also works at The Impact Guild. They meet up with Taylor Bates and Jess Lowry of Sunset Ridge/Good Acres with retired Architect Howell Ridout to discuss plans on building a new space on the church’s empty parking lot.
